Add and edit text​

  1. Placing Your Cursor Imagine your cursor as a blinking pen. Click where you want to start writing. It’s like placing your pen on paper.

  2. Start Typing Once your cursor is in place, start typing. Every key press adds a letter or number. Watch your words appear on the page!

Find and replace text​

  1. Selecting Text to Replace

    • Need to change a word or sentence?
    • Double-click the word you want to change.
    • Click to the left of a line to select the whole line.
  2. Starting the Replacement With the text selected, just start typing. Your new text will replace the old one.

Check grammar, spelling, and more in Word​

Ensure your document is error-free:

  • Click on the Review tab.
  • Select Spelling & Grammar to check for errors.
  • Use the suggestions to correct mistakes.

  1. Inserting Hyperlinks
    • Enhance your document with links:
    • Select the text you want to link.
    • Click on the Insert tab.
    • Choose Hyperlink and enter the URL.

  1. Removing Hyperlinks

To remove a link:

  • Right-click on the linked text.
  • Select Remove Hyperlink.
